Connecting Global Art Research to the Classroom

Mask Making Through the Eyes of Students; Reflections on China

Students in grades 6 and 7 compared cultures in China, Africa and India through masks and mask making. The students explored the rituals, myths and customs relating to various regions. Cultural connections were explored, discovered and made through the mask making process. The following slide show documents the process of exploration and discovery.
